Album Notes

"Muscle and Hate" is the new project comprised of Sebastian R. Komor (of Icon of Coil, Monofader, Moonitor fame), one of the best electro producers to date, and XP8, complete with Doulas McCarthy-esque vocalist Paul Toohill (also of XP8.). An outstanding collection of cover versions of one of the most popular Industrial/Electro bands off all time: NITZER EBB. Now, you can hear the most popular Nitzer Ebb tracks with a modern yet powerful twist. This album is so infectious, it's almost as if Nitzer Ebb has resurged...

"The new generation of Nitzer Ebb is absolutely wondrous! I am very excited for the album to come out.
But then, I know my lil' mind is bound to implode with impatience sooner or later."

"Good versions of classic EBM songs (especially love your takes on "Violent Playground" and "Control I'm Here")."

"I'm a die-hard Nitzer Ebb fan and this is by far one of the coolest things I've heard in a long time. DON'T BE LAZY IN THE PLEASURES OF SIN!!!"

"Usually tribute albums has a pretty low quality and nothing you get that super excited about, definitely nothing you play often after a couple of times in your CD-player, after that it gets pretty bored. XP8 together with Sebastian R. Komor (Icon of Coil, Monofader) have managed to put a modern touch to Nitzer Ebb’s immortal classics and without doubt the best tribute album I've ever heard.
Of course Nitzer Ebb's material that lays the ground is superb since they are some of the best EBM tracks that ever been made, but still the Italian XP8 and Norwegian Sebastian manage that together create a lovely blend between the sounds you know from both bands without loosing the feeling of the original.
The sound is very alike the sound we usually hear from Icon of Coil and the album is probably best described as if Nitzer Ebb and Icon of Coil after intensive mating manage to produce an offspring. "Control I'm Here", "Let Your Body Learn", "Violent Playground", "Fun To Be Had", "Join In The Chant" and "Murderous" suddenly have a modern touch and a new taste for your senses to explore. Paul Toohill from XP8 actually does a great job to master the voice of Mr McCarthys even though it's impossible to go all the way."

"If you like EBM music at all, you should check out this excellent tribute. If you're unfamiliar with Nitzer Ebb, as I was, this taster will only leave you wanting more. This is a superb tribute album, and very much worth adding to your collection. Highly Recommended"--Jason Baker @ Synthpop.net

"A massive collaboration between Sebastian R. Komor (Icon of Coil, Monofader, Moonitor) and XP8 featuring Paul Toohill on vocals, "A Tribute to Nitzer Ebb" is the perfect complement that any band could give one of industrial/electro’s best outfits. Nitzer Ebb over the years have influenced hundreds of bands and musicians with their brooding and groove-laden electro-industrial sound. Muscle and Hate are just as compelling as they undertake a mission to bring a darker side to Nitzer Ebb’s club-friendly numbers. Morphing electro into industrial and back again, Muscle and Hate turn in one of the year’s best electronic albums." --J-Sin @ Smother.net

Simply an amazing collection of classic EBM

I just got this cd and I must say it is one of the coolest thing I have heard in years!!! It hits you in the face from the first track, and keeps punching you until the end! The covers are fresh and pounding, but still keeping the spirit of the originals, but this is like for the next century. Digital distorted mayhem and beats that will hit the dancefloors hard! It is well produced, great vocals and a really fitting cover, in other words, a perfect concept! I Love it! If you like harsher electronic music such as EBM or Industrial, even Techno and such; You really should check this cd out!! WHERE IS THE YOUTH??!!!!!
