Album Notes
"Musica Divina's unique compositions are food for the soul."
- Lauren Artress

San Francisco's Musica Divina is a group of accomplished musicians that has accompanied the labyrinth walk at Grace Cathedral since the beginnings of the labyrinth meditation movement in the early eighties. Collaborating with Rev. Lauren Artress, author of "Walking a Sacred Path" they have created music with a deep, passionate mystical feeling to guide the participants through the journey to the Center and the return path out again. The musicians come from very diverse musical backgrounds drawing on classical, medieval, Eastern and African music, while incorporating jazz and other styles of improvisation to evoke a truly universal spirituality.

The artists:
Mihr'un'nisa Douglass - soprano.
Karolyn van Putten - alto.
Janice Coughlin - alto.
Stephen Coughlin - flutes, bansuri, Turkish ney, soprano sax.
Sarah Voynow - harp.
Bill Douglass - bass and flutes.

Excellent choice for my use, the CD is fantastic!
This CD was ordered for a specific grief training group. The music is fantastic, very moving and spiritual. Just what I was looking for. There has to be more out there and I intend to buy them all.

My new perfect chill-out CD
This is exactly the kind of music I want at the end of the day, when it's time to light candles, pour a drink and curl up on the couch with a book.

Just right for labyrinth walks
I was looking for several CDs to use for labyrinth walks; this CD has has a varied selection and is wonderful for those who who want to experience a meditative walk.

Nice variety if you are not set on one style.
Nice for light meditation or Labyrinth walking. I like the different styles of music yet I was surprised that it is such a accumulation of my favorite pieces.
