Meet TC - a very Swedish female singer/songwriter

What do you get when you combine a girl from Sweden with contemporary American folk music? You get TC.
Refreshingly free of lyrical narcissism this fresh young artist sings with a voice that you want to curl up to. Every song is garnished with Scandinavian-influenced melodies and TC offers a sound that is both unique and worth noticing, blending Nordic folk melodies and contemporary pop. She
sings in both Swedish and English with and her songs leave no stone unturned in describing strong emotions - all resolving in beautiful harmonies reminiscent of the melancholy in Scandinavian folk music.

TC Brewitz may live as an urbanite in the San Francisco Bay Area, but she did grow up in a rather remote corner of Sweden where she got her classical training in voice and piano.
In 1995 TC came to the San Francisco Bay Area and quickly moved into the local music scene, as a rock musician, keyboardist, jazz singer and Swedish folk music artist. While sharpening her musical skills in several genres, TC also kept on writing her own material.
In the summer of 2004 TC met with Ben Yonas, the producer behind such rising stars as Spencer Day and King Street. Immediately, Ben picked up on the unique appeal of TCs own music and together they created a superb collection of timeless Swedish-American folk/pop with an immediate appeal to audiences on both continents.

A CD of Beautiful Melodies with Great Lyrics
author: Tom Fahey: www.tomstrivia.com

It’s obvious that TC is a classically trained musician, while at the same time a thoughtful and expressive lyricist; the combination of the two makes this CD pure listening pleasure.

There is a beautiful vulnerabilty and strong melody and harmonies.

The phrasing of this music is far ahead of most artists. Both American and Swedish languages sound natural in the forward moving melodic phrasing. And TC can't be pinned down. There is a freedom in bringing out what is on the edge.

Lyrically Deep, Well Crafted Melodies and Real Musicianship
author: Ruth Cocherell

"And I can only breath at 10,000 feet..." After listening just once, I feel the same way. This album is not just excellent musically, but each song conveys meaning and emotion that has the power to send the listener on their own little journey. I highly recommend this album.
