Album Notes

MusicDFW.com brings together 19 bands to create a CD of original independent music featuring Dallas and Fort Worth bands.

The project was organized by the members of the internet forum, MusicDFW.com. MusicDFW.com is an online community of DFW-based musicians and was founded by Dallas musician Scott Whigham in 2010. The first of its kind, the forum has created a networking outlet for DFW musicians and has grown to over 600 musicians in less than a year.

The creation of the CD, from songwriting, studio recording time, to distribution, is the product of a collaborative effort on the part of forum members. This community project features many genres and reflects the diverse DFW music community. Many of the artists featured on the CD have been performing in and around North Texas for decades and have never been published.
