Album Notes

Music For Moppets teacher and facilitator is a stay-at-home mother dedicated to her family. Music has been part of her life since childhood.
Karen Woolley moved from Toronto to the Peterborough area in 1999 and was fulfilled with the birth of her daughter in 2002.

As a new mother, and new to rural life, new to the Peterborough area, Karen Woolley struggled to find other stay-at-home mothers and people she could relate to as her daughter Fiona was growing up.

After Karen and baby Fiona took part in the Parent-Child Mother Goose® program in Peterborough in the fall of 2002, Tots N Tunes was organized as a formal playgroup, based on her own experiences and closer to home in Lakehurst. The playgroup moved and merged with the Buckhorn Community Centre group in Fall 2004.
Tots N Tunes served our rural community for 5 years.

Since that programme\'s inception, Karen\'s playgroups have brought together over 150 families, founded friendships and bonded members of our community. Fiona is thriving in primary school.

Karen had the honour of being trained by Parent-Child Mother Goose® co-founder Katherine Grier as well as working under the guidance of Peterborough\'s P-CMG® founder Kate Jarrett. Karen has been a teacher with P-CMG® in Peterborough and rurally for 3 years.

Spring 2007 marked the growth from a little rural playgroup to a momtrepreneur business in 2 locations (plus the original group for Fiona!) Music For Moppets was born.

January, 2008 marked the 1st anniversary of Music For Moppets, (originally launched on ABC Family Literacy Day 2007). To really celebrate, Karen launched her first CD: Music For Moppets - Songs & Rhymes & Circle Time.

Fall 2008 launches 4 spots for the Music For Moppets playgroups in the Peterborough area. We\'re thrilled to have CD Baby distribute the CD for all to enjoy.

Karen lives with her husband Glenn and daughter Fiona at Woolley Wonderland Farm. They raise sheep with a few Llamas too - with a last name like Woolley, wouldn\'t you?
