PAUL MUTEBI BIOGRAPHY

With a passion to take the gospel world wide, Paul Mutebi has ministered to hundreds of thousands of people in over 30 countries and has seen many lives changed. He has produced 2 albums and co-produced and co- written 4 albums. Paul has ministered with well known artists such as Andrea Crouch, Ron Kenoly, Kirk Franklin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Carman, Michael W Smith, Phil Driscoll, Stevie Wonder just to name a few. He also performed in some prestigious venues such as The Royal Festival Hall in London, Madison square gardens in New York, Mall of America in Minneapolis| St.Paul, Nyayo stadium in Nairobi and Mandela stadium in Kampala.

Paul was born in Kampala Uganda into a musical family. His first influences were his mother and grandfather. Paul's mother was a singer and choir director at one of the local churches. Paul vividly remembers listening to his mother sing and being able to duplicate what she sang. Upon realization that her son had musical potential, Paul's mother worked at encouraging and developing what she believed to be a gift from God. Her training would be packaged through nursery tunes like old McDonald had a farm, twinkle-twinkle little star and Jack and Jill. Paul recalls, " My mum would always bust in to a song as we did chores around the house. She would start us out, wait for me to get the hang of it and then she would harmonize."
Paul's grandfather who was a preacher was also musically inclined. "Sometimes we would visit jajja (grandpa) for Christmas holidays and I remember him singing for his grand children Christmas songs and also songs he used to sing in the 1st and 2nd world war. At the age of 7, Paul joined the choir as a singer. At age 12 he gained more interest in playing the piano. Paul would quench his interest by playing an old and antique piano that his mother owned and used for her choir practices. Before long, he had learned to play by ear only.

Paul took every opportunity awarded to him to use this new found talent which at the time had became a musical outlet for him. During this time in Uganda, the political atmosphere was a far cry from peaceful. Although this wasn't unusual for Uganda, this time it was the worst almost everybody remembers it ever being. Boys Paul's age were taken from homes with or without parental consent to fight for or against the current regime. Anyone seen the movie Tears of the sun? Given this factor and many others, Paul was all too happy to play piano for several groups and churches around the city.

Even though Paul had been brought up in a Christian family, his relationship with God was non-existent. At the age of 15 he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior. As God said in his word so it is for Paul. His God given gifts have put him before great men. On request by Pastor Robert kayanja who is the founder and pastor of Miracle center church also in Kampala. He became a youth minister and one of the praise and worship leaders. In 1989, Paul moved to London where he embarked on what would be and still is an extraordinary journey with Jesus Christ through his ministry in LimitX. In 1993, he moved to the United States of America. He is now married to his omumbejja Maureen and has three beautiful children Carvin, Chloe and Christal.

Throughout his journey and with every passing season, he has encountered change. He has come to value each season and the lessons learned. Paul believes that where there is a God given vision, God makes a way, and where there is a calling, there is provision. The doorways God keeps opening to the miraculous continue to humble him. Paul says that, "Nothing is as permanent as change because change is a principle of creation. Although many things are subject to change God is not... GOD IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER."

On his first solo CD (Seasons Of Change), Paul takes us on a journey of trust and total dependence on God. Hoping and Believing that you, the listener, will be encouraged as you go through your seasons of change. As Paul reflects upon his Life, he is in awe of how God divinely orchestrates relationships and circumstances that will change a person's life forever. One of those relationships for Paul is his friendship with Montrel Darrett who is a former lead singer of the legendary group commissioned. Montrel is also known for his 2 solo albums Chronicles of soul and Soul Metal unrehearsed. With a fusion of their cultural backgrounds and the direction of the Holy Spirit, Paul and Montrel have created an artistic groove that will influence an entirely new musical genre. Every song on this album carries a message that ministers life and hope to this generation and those to come.

As he continues in his journey with the Lord, Paul's vision is to develop and mentor young artists and also travel and share his psalmist calling around the world. He believes that music ministers need to develop their gifts and play skillfully and also allow God to use them through His anointing. Your gift may get the attention but the anointing penetrates and breaks the yoke of bondage.

Paul embraces these nuggets of truth: - Most of the world hates change yet it's the only thing that has brought progress. Keep on dreaming in your seasons of change and never allow you're past failures or successes to determine your future. You cannot drive into the future by looking in the rear view mirror. The past is only as strong as you allow it to be.
