Mike Westcott's Blues On Board is hot Guitar and captivating Vocals, it's Blues Rock With Bite.

As three-time International Blues Challenge semifinalists, BMI recording artist, Mike Westcott's Blues On Board continue to explore and expand the boundaries of the hard-driving blues rock tradition. Along with Mike Westcott's award winning Guitar Playing and two time Washington Area Music Association's "Best Blues Band" nominees his "Guitar Show" enjoys a well-deserved reputation for consistently delivering powerful, memorable live performances -- whether for 50 patrons in an intimate venue or for 350,000 raucous festival-goers. Mike's expert songwriting, soulful voice and virtuoso guitar work remain the trademark of this rising force in the east-coast music scene. While unafraid to display the influence of those guitar greats that have gone before him, Mike Westcott's music has something original to say, and does so with a style and energy that is distinctly his own.

Mike Westcott's Blues On Board Guitar Show have performed numerous Music festivals. Here is just a taste of some of the performances.

What the Press is Saying:

The soulful Mike Westcott and his Blues On Board are a Pearl. I think that they are best of class. I don't usually make predictions but I think Mike Westcott is the new Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Tony Cobb
FOH engineer at Bele Chere Music Festival in Asheville NC.
I am the owner of the sound company who did sound on the Blues On Board stage. Mike Westcott's Blues On Board was by far the best act we did that weekend. I also went to hang out at the Kenny Wayne Shepherd show that evening. He did Voodoo Child as his closing song and Mike Westcott pretty much ate his lunch. Hope to run into these guys again.

Waverly Milor
5th Annual Greenbelt Blues Festival music coordinator
As music coordinator of the annual Greenbelt Blue Festival, I know if I don't bring back Mike Westcott and Blues On Board for an unprecedented third consecutive year for the 5th annual in June 2008, I just might lose my job! Mike and his band have delivered electrifying performances every year on the main stage."

Blues on Board kicks and oughta be getting a ton of attention.
Bought this CD after hearing the band live and it was definitely a great purchase. Every song was great -- not a dud or "skipper" in the bunch. I cannot wait for the next CD from this group.

This band will blow you away!
This is one of the best CD's I have bought in a long time. The original material is kickin' and it really makes me wanna go hear them live. From the pictures on their website it looks like their live concerts would rival some of the greats!

Mike & the band are awesome!
One of the best CDs I have in my blues collection! Cutting edge and can't wait to see them again!

cool stuff
Like it. Liked being able to preview on cdbaby. First cut Keep The Blues Alive does a good job of setting the tone for the rest of the cd. I'm starting to find the Mary Had A Little Lamb thing a bit droll on many blues cds, but understand it's a standard. Can't wait to hear next cd with more studio-produced/less livecuts.

Debbie Harbaugh

the music is awsome.
