MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PLAYERS:

Mark Wingfield

Mark has been called "the six string winged, improvising shaman" (Music That Matters). Words such as "guitar virtuoso" "uplifting" "inspiration" "organic" and "cleansing" (Guitar Techniques Magazine) have been used to describe Mark's playing and music. He has toured extensively across Europe and as far afield as Istanbul with his own group as well as with other jazz groups such as Scapetrace and SMQ.

Mark's interest in world music has led him to collaborate with non-western musicians such as Lebanese singer Samia Afra, Turkish musician Gökhan Özyavuz, Zambian singer KT Lumpa and others. As well as jazz, his composing extends into classical forms, his pieces being performed by top classical musicians in NY, London and elsewhere.

Jane Chapman

Described as "Britain's most progressive harpsichordist" (The Independent on Sunday) and "the hippest harpsichordist around" (London Metro), Jane has revitalised new repertoire for the instrument. Equally passionate about contemporary and baroque music she has inspired a generation of composers, premiering numerous solo, chamber and electroacoustic works worldwide from many of todays foremost new voices.

As "a fearless contemporary music performer" (The Guardian), she is involved in cutting edge collaborations with groundbreaking musicians and visual artists, exploring innovative approaches to performance.
