Kick-ass complexity!

I got their demos at a live show in SF, and loved them. I couldn't wait for this to come out! These guys really have it together, and have a great talent for pulling off these really complex rhythms. This is brilliant, like all of their stuff, and I hope that Myotonia's around for a long time.

I'd say this is a great record if you're in the mood for something similar to the Dillinger Escape Plan. It's got a lot of energy and complexity. This is, rhythmically, very technical music. No stupid chugging break-downs like so many hardcore bands.
While it offers pretty much everything I like in hardcore music, I have to say that I don't find the songs that memorable or different from each other. But the songs create the right harcore feel and mood.
Overall, it's just about perfect for fans of this mathy hardcore kind of music. I love it. I give it four stars instead of five only because I don't get the songs stuck in my head.
