Green Day goes to lunch with Metallica and they all reminisce about The Who

Tired of listening to the same Nickelback, Coldplay, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Godsmack? Try an indie band from CDBaby. Mystic Frost sounds like a garage version of Audioslave (without the amazing vocals of Chris Cornell) but that is still a huge compliment.

India rocks!
author: Ronnie S.
The lyrics create intense pictures in your mind almost instantly (every drop of ink injects corrosion in my brain - Neutralized) while showing occassional bursts of profundity (stood right beneath the tree of happiness but I wonder why the smile ran away from my face/ lit the bonfire, dancing round the dreams, sitting on the branches I chopped down the tree). Very progressive compositions and good performance too - as for the Indian accent, I love it (why should everybody sound American? - we have our own dialect of English in India and we're damn proud of it). We love you guys - India rocks!

Powerful guitars, great lyrics, interesting songs
author: Olaf Svalstedt, Sweden
I met Amod in Stockholm and he showed me the Frost CD. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it and when I read the lyrics it just blew my mind. Man, all the while I had thought that you have to be in America or UK to be able to think great songs in English. I thought that was why they don't have any big rock bands in Sweden. But this CD goes to prove that where you are doesn't matter at all, nor can it be an excuse. This effort by Mystic Frost shows that you can do anything, anywhere. Ripchord Moksha has a wide variety of songs - some are sweet and melodic (Golden cage, Home) whereas others are frenzied and chaotic (Innerface, Brain dead). While the compositions seem to be very well thought about, the guitarist in me wishes that they were longer with more lead guitar playing. Some of the bass parts are also very striking (e.g. the chorus on Hollow in my head) and there are some killer guitar riffs that are also quite original (Cruel Kind, Escape from reality). The album is indeed an inspiration for people who think they are in the wrong place doing the right thing. This group of fine musicians from India show us that the thing to do is get off your ass and do what you like.
