Inspired by a road trip in mid-winter, My Shadow and I is a soothing album that exists to calm the listener down. Lush strings and delicate pianos wrap around one another to create a sound that evokes memories and images to any who hear it. As advertised.

Relaxing, peaceful, and at times quite pretty, this album delivers on it's promises. Don't expect something on it to "blow you away", but don't anticipate disliking anything either.
It works primarily as background music for studying, relaxing etc. rather than music that you would go out of your way to listen to: so it succeeds in it's aims without showing off.
If you find yourself reading/writing/gaming and suchlike and feel like listening to something gentle and inoffensive, this is probably for you.
Worth the $6? So far, "yes".

My Shadow and I's usage of sampling in addition to the instruments of chamber music provides for an eccentric soundtrack of modernity.
