With the release of their latest effort, Bend My Mind, Mystikos Quintet has reached the height of their powers. Funk and soul, chilled out hip hop, jazzy house and deep dub sounds are all represented as the MQ crew brings home another winner. Clocking in at 71 minutes in length, this album is a full-capacity stunner. MQ's familiar downtempo style is still evident, but on Bend My Mind the fellas have really stretched things out, particularly with the addition of more extensive vocal arrangements. Old fans will be delighted, while new ones are bound to be arriving in droves. As usual, MQ makes music that's easy on the ears and soothing to the soul, yet deep enough to shake ya rump!
