Album Notes

This record is really something that is too good to be A. a debut
album, and B. self produced on a budget consisting of bits of string.
Somehow this Chicago (yay) 4 piece has remained relatively obscure,
playing out only sporadically while putting together one of the best
albums to come out this year. The songs range from tense to bombastic
to delicate, showing some influence from Gang of Four or bends-era
Radiohead. Fans of Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party will drool. My
Were They are the best Chicago band you've never heard of. Highly,
highly recommended.

A truly great album start to finish.

With a powerful catchy opening track that sucks you right in, this album is all about rock. I found "epigrams and interludes" refreshing and non formulaic, unlike many rock albums today. All of the band members seem very talented, and the drummer is phenominal! Give this record a spin.
