Album Notes

New England-based songwriter-singer-pianist Nadine Laughlin's debut CD 'Beautiful Mystery' contains 10 original songs ranging from solo piano and voice ('Beautiful Mystery' and 'Staying') to rich and haunting Irish-whistle filled pieces ('Pray for Grace' and 'Almost Gone') to strong band and thick harmony laden songs (like 'What If' and 'Broken Glass'). She has very special guest contributions by Gordon Bok, and by Matthew Heaton of "Siucra".

The songs tell the stories of the sorrows and joys of real life, and the beauty and strength of the human spirit that carries and leads us through.

2008 NEWS! I am currently at work on a new album being recorded in Jamaica, West Indies where I live much of the year. I look forward to the contributions of some very beautiful people and fine musicians! New energy!

'Go East' from the album "Beautiful Mystery" is on "Before Their Time - Volume 3" - a compilation CD of songs to support healing in times of grief, released Fall 2004. Volumes 1 and 2 included songs from Eva Cassidy, Beth Neilsen Chapman, Gordon Bok, Ellis Paul, and Kate Rusby among many other very fine songwriters.
