Album Notes

Vocalist, lyricist, guitarist, composer...and very likely Philadelphia's most uniquely and genuinely talented music artist today.

In Naeemah's family, word has it she began singing before she could even talk. Born and raised in the Logan section of North Philadelphia, Naeemah grew up listening to Prince, Led Zeppelin, the Jackson Five, Diana Ross, Junior Walker and John McLaughlin. Her father an accomplished R&B guitarist and music teacher and her mother a vocal coach, Naeemah went on to study music at Temple University in both the classical and jazz departments.

In the past year, Naeemah has been tearing up the Philly live music scene with her solo performances at venues such as Fergie's Pub, Abilene, World Cafe Live, the Grape Street Philadelphia and the Five Spot, where she has wowed audiences and developed a large and loyal following of fans who often sing along with her original songs word for word.

Rarely does any singer/songwriter accomplish the fusion of R&B and rock so seamlessly and effortlessly. Variously compared to artists as diverse as Alanis Morissette, Jeff Buckley, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder, Naeemah seems destined to create her own inimitable archetype.

REVIEWS

Appealing not overwhelming and pleasant.
author: MusicSearcher
This album contains a pure connection between soul and rock. Which was very pleasing to listen to. Although not a chart topper just yet, the potential for this Artist to reach global recognition and stardom is a brilliant song away. She charmed me with her sense of Euro POP Rock yet with a slight mellow Jazz undertone.

Naeemah's CD is fantastic... I got my copy three days ago, and have been listening to it nonstop. The lyrics and melodies are so unique and flow flawlessly. The sound quality on the CD is really great, and Naeemah's voice is beautiful as ever. My favorites are: Drag, My Friend, and Hard Time, although all the songs are awesome. Go out and buy yourself this CD, you absolutely need it in your collection!!! Naeemah rocks!!!
