Album Notes
Son Salvaje is a Tampa, Fl based Latin band with an All-Star line up of musicians led by Nalisio Taveras. Be it Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Bachata, Bolero, Latin Jazz, you name it, they PLAY it! The talented musicians in this band have played with and/or opened up for the likes of Eddie Palmieri, Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez, Ismael Miranda, Justo Betancourt, Paquito Guzman, Lalo Rodriguez, Tito Gomez, Hector Tricorche, Roberto Blades, Frankie Negron, Kevin Ceballo, Charlie Cruz, Anthony Cruz, Ray De La Paz, Paquito D'Rivera, Branford Marsalis, Claudio Roditi, and Arturo Sandoval (to name a few) and the incredibly seasoned compositional skills commanded by many members in this band makes it possible for this unit to arrange and play literally ANY song under the sun (a feat that VERY FEW bands can boast).

At full capacity, Son Salvaje is comprised of an impressive 11 man ensemble featuring a robust rhythm section (guitar, piano, bass, timbales, congas, bongo), a dynamic horn section (complete with trumpets, trombones, and sax) and an experienced team of singers.

LOVE it!!!
What an amazing album! As soon as you press play your body will want to dance-as long as you have a heartbeat, you can't help but move to this music! A couple of my favorites: Bounce, Ponte A Bailar, Fuerza Bruta, and of course - Careless Whisper (a brilliant bachata version of the George Michael classic). This band and the original, fresh talent of front man, Nalisio, are musical forces of nature. A "MUST HAVE" album for salsa lovers, dancers, or anyone who appreciates GREAT musicians playing AMAZING music!!

This album has everything the modern salsero needs: Excellent arrangements with shine-able hits, old school sound with contemporary flavor, and lots of originality behind the artist/director (Nalisio).
I've already played some songs at socials and had the floor packed!
For non-dancers I believe that this album still has plenty to offer: Well thought out lyrics which depending on the song are very witty (Me Quedo Aqui), romantic (El Sol Y La Luna), or satirical (Pata Kun Ping Ping). And for you Latin Jazz nuts it boasts great solos within almost every track. Not to mention a funky cha cha cha with boogaloo flare (Bounce).
So what are you waiting for? BUY THIS ALBUM!!!

That's it...two words...SOLID GOLD!!!
