"NAMIDA : -John Fahey Tribute-"

All original tune by 10 Japanese guitarists.
These are Japanese answers to John's art of guitar music!
This CD is also dedicated to our friend Goro Noda, who passed away at June 7.

1. Snapping Turtle Blues #2 / Manabu Aoyagi (4:55)
The powerful opening with feeling of tears of rage.
Manabu isn't so famous but very talented guitarist.

2. Railway for J. F. / Toru Ogiyanagi (7:12)
Toru is multiplayer and the member of "HARD TO FIND", string band featuring hammer-dulcimer in Hokkaido Japan.
You can ride this train for J.F., probably for the point of no return.

3. Wail / Kaya Ogawa (4:24)
Kaya is the slide guitarist traveling all around the world and have the emotional spirit of art music.
Wail is his masterpiece, and also his sadness.

4. Requieminence -from the research on various soundings by two electric guitars- / Michio Ogawa (6:57)
Michio is fingerstyle guitarist introduced in other omnibus CD produced by Peter Finger, and he have released several beautiful solo CDs.
This is his experimental music which is firstly released.

5. Turtle Talk / Noribo Kamezawa (9:35)
"Noribo" is a false name of Katsunori Maezawa, a talented guitarist of "Kamekobo", unit with hammer-dulcimer.
He plays this long solo with the feeling of Leo Kottke by 12 string guitar.

6. The Water / Goro Noda (4:46)
Goro Noda was a great improvisator by 12 string baritone guitar or nylon string guitar, but sadly he passed away at June 7, 2006.
We dedicate this CD for him, not only for John Fahey.

7. Bicycle Built For You / Takashi Hajime (3:47)
Takashi Hajime plays gentle and beautiful arpeggio by steel string acoustic guitar.

HAMADA is a ragtime guitarist and the producer of this CD, though here he plays strange "seasickness music".
