Album Notes

\"I have had your \"KidsSongs Sleepyheads\" since I was a baby. It has been my favorite tape ever. Today, my tape player ate it. After a few tears, my dad encouraged me to look on the internet in hopes of finding a replacement. I would like to order a replacement. Enclosed is a check for $15 for a \"KidsSongs Sleepyheads\" CD. Your music has been a comfort to me since I was a baby. Thank you, Sydney (10 years old)\"

\"I really like KidsSongs and KidsSongs for Sleepyheads. I really really like the Wabash Cannonball and Jamaica Farewell and Wait \'til the Morning and Little Fish. Thanks for all your music, Love, Daisy, Age 3\"

Nancy Cassidy, one of the most popular children’s recording artists in the country delights children of all ages with her warm heart-felt voice and diverse selection of traditional, original and contemporary songs from her Klutz KidsSongs series. Her first recording, KidsSongs received a Gold Record from the Recording Association of America Inc. for having sold 500,000 copies - it has now sold over 1,000,000! In August 2004, Klutz released a two-CD boxed set and sing-along book of Nancy’s KidsSongs, produced by Ken Whiteley. This set combines music from KidsSongs and KidsSongs 2. In 2005 it received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and The Children’s Music Web Awards for “Best Recording for Preschoolers ages 3 to 5” and the “Judge’s Technical Award”.

In addition to singing and playing the guitar, Nancy writes a number of her own songs. Bruce Springsteen recorded Nancy and John Cassidy’s “Chicken Lips and Lizard Hips” and has sold a million copies. Nancy\'s rendition of \"I Wanna Be a Dog,\" was beamed up to the astronauts on a shuttle flight, making her one of the first children\'s artist\'s with an orbital audience.

Nancy has a total of five Klutz CDs: KidsSongs, KidsSongs 2, Jubilee, Sleepyheads, and Hullabaloo. With more than 2 million CDs sold worldwide Nancy has entered the big leagues of recording by going through the kids’ entrance.

Currently, Nancy is recording her own original songs that appeal to an older audience. These are published through Twitter Twatter Music. Nancy’s first two CDs were, Pocketbook Romance and Night Skies, both produced by Ken Whiteley. In July 2004 Nancy released You Reel Me In, produced by Keith Greeninger, with songs that range in style from folk, blues, to country. So Much Weather, also produced by Keith Greeninger, was released in Winter 2006. Her new CD combines a heart-pure contralto with her brand of folk and a shot of the blues, both stirred up with a little kicker of country. With this release, Nancy shows us all over again what makes her a multi-million selling artist.

KidsSongs, Nancy’s original folk music, and everything else about Nancy (including reaching her), are available online at www.nancycassidymusic.com.

Truly a CD that children can grow up with. My 10 year old son still finds these songs pleasant to listen too. Singer Nancy Cassidy has a very fine voice and many of the songs are generations old. Shipment from CDBABY was fast and well pack!
