Deep, meaningful and personal lyrics wrapped around melodies that caress the ear."
- Joel Pomerantz (Electric Maid)
On the Inside is a product of Nancy Eddy's first 2 years of songwriting including her very first song, "Can't Hold On" a piece about family and the boundaries we all cross for unconditional love. The album ranges from folky finger-picking in the heartbreaking "Just Go", to driving folk/rock orchestrations in "Glaciers" to the playful hand-clapping final track, "What if We".
Because of the raw emotionality Nancy brings to each song, the CD plays like a series of cathartic diary entries. Each one opening the door a bit wider and letting out a little more of what's on the inside of this up-and-coming musician.
In just two years of "playing out" Nancy has shared the stage with well-known artists like Pamela Means, Bitch, Rose Polenzani and Meg Hutchinson and has toured with Mara Levi, Emily White, Camille Bloom and Nicole Torres. Top folk venues like the Living Room's "Googies" in NYC and the IOTA and Black Cat in DC have welcomed her as a solo artist and with her band The Pushovers.

Wow.
author: Jennifer Webb
Just listened to Nancy Eddy's debut album, On the Inside, and all I can say is...wow. Nancy's voice is among the most gorgeous I've ever heard. And her music is beautifully written--creative, original, and very catchy (I've found myself humming tunes ever since my first listen). I am definitely going to try to catch her next live show--I bet they'll be pretty hard to get into in the near future as Nancy gets bigger (which, given her enormous talent, I have no doubt she will).
