Album Notes

If healing has a landscape, what do you see? Or a voice, what do you hope to hear? Vessel of Gold could be cheaper than therapy if comfort, reassurance and upbeat honesty are what you need. The songs read like self-portraying ballads and personal prayers yet speak of what’s common to everyone.

Melodic lyrical lines and great hooks with the savvy instrumental layers of producer Ian Townend, this album invites you into varied terrain. Some canvases you will see: fields of morning light, a darkened backstage, an abandoned desert; some yearnings you will feel: hanging on to love, thirst for rain, the pain of waiting.

Unearth the folksy strumming of Two Worlds and the Enya-like strains of the title song, Vessel of Gold, or explore the upbeat rock pop of Backside of the Desert. Restorative, peaceful, yet fused with up-tempo energy, discover that Vessel of Gold has a healing magic all its own.

Originally from New England, Nancy now resides in Boise Idaho. She penned her first song at age 17 about tea-drinking candlelight hours while living next door to the shore on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Earliest influences were the works of classical composers Vivaldi, Mozart and Beethoven (to name a few), yet the free-flowing folk rock music of the 70's became a strong force that would later incite her to write her own songs rather than perform other people’s works. Playing her tunes in coffee shops around the Treasure Valley, and with recording projects to refine the whole creative process, an artistic musician has emerged comfortable in her original, yet evolving skin.

"The invigorating spirit of this approachable humble woman will astound and encourage you. Her original music straddles many genres and her performances are always an event!" The Library Coffee House

REVIEWS

The music itself sounds so very good, it causes one to pause and breathe it in!

Musically, the songs are all thoughtfully written, performed flawlessly, and produced so very well! Light, interesting melody lines, emotionally provocative chord progressions, and all of the music pleases my passion for rock, as well as new age music. Nancy completely pulls it off! I love her music more than Dido's (sorry Dido.)
