Album Notes

I guess this is the classic story of ‘rags to riches’…well kind of.

I started my life on a council estate in England, moved to New Zealand with my Mother when I was thirteen years old, and settled in Napier. I attended Napier Girls High and then went to work at a local riding school. Horses are another passion and another story.

Living on a dairy farm with my husband and family is the ‘riches’ part of my story. It is a quality of life I could never have had in England. Our farm is in South Taranaki, and I see Mount Taranaki/Egmont outside my window every morning (if it’s not clouded over!).

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandmother played the harmonica and piano as well as singing in several choirs, and my mother used to sing the songs of the day as she worked around the house, encouraging me to sing and harmonise with her.

In my music career I have been very fortunate in being able to share the stage with so many of New Zealands top country music artists, and even some from overseas, and Many have become treasured friends.

I have enjoyed singing all over New Zealand and have a solid following where ever I go. I play a Takamine guitar, my pride and joy, and love playing solo gigs as well as entertaining at rest homes, but I especially love singing on stage with a good band.
I hope you will have a listen to the sound bites and enjoy what you hear...if you do, please buy my albums!
