Album Notes

Nancy Newlis is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Moscow, Russia. Nancy began at young age studying theory and composition with Irina Vladimirovna who studied under Shostakovich, an extraordinary Russian composer. At 16 she was offered a full scholarship and a position within the Studio Music and Jazz Program in the School of Music at the University of Miami. During her undergraduate study, Nancy led several bands, performed regularly within Miami and abroad, and was a part of an award winning University of Miami jazz vocal ensemble. After graduation Nancy returned to Moscow to perform and simultaneously write and record her first rock album with the famous Russian band Babie Leto. Then she headed to NYC city for a change, and inspiration. "Dreamers" is her second album. Recorded at Galuminum Foil Studios NY and produced by Nancy Newlis and Jeff Berner.
