This CD is based on a cabaret show that Nancy Stearns performed at Don’t Tell Mama in 2007 with music director, Gregory Toroian, on piano, and David Finck, on bass.
A regular on the New York City cabaret circuit since 2001, Nancy has done a variety of theme shows. Unlike her prior shows and two earlier CDs, this CD and the show it was based on, WITH RHYME, BUT FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON, has, as you can guess, no theme or through-line connecting the musical choices. The songs - some obscure, some more mainstream – were chosen for no reason other than that Nancy loved them and thought it would be great musical fun to perform them with her favorite NYC musicians, Gregory Toroian and David Finck.
In addition to her yearly shows at Don't Tell Mama, Nancy has performed at Rose’s Turn and The Encore in New York, and at Il Chiostro in Italy, and has been featured in the Any Wednesday series at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble, in New York City.

In reviewing one of Nancy's other CDs, Sing Me A Song With Social Significance…Or Not, Andy Propst of americantheatreweb.com said:
