This power pop trio explodes onto the scene with 10 well-crafted but hard rocking songs of frustration. At times raucous, at times mellow, this album explores human relationships with a fair share of criticism for all.
Narc hails from San Francisco and has been gigging in the Bay Area since early 2005. The sound is hard to describe - there's a little rock, pop, punk and grunge in every song. The bottom line is an original sound that is neither trendy nor tired.
When LA Engineer Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave) heard early demos he was inspired to offer his talents to record and mix parts of the album, including the stellar title track, "Small Talk". Rarely does an unknown band have the opportunity to put out an album with such great production values.

Awesome CD!!!

The "Small Talk" CD is so awesome that I listen to it three times or more consecutively. I love the song "Small Talk"...especially the lyrics "Have you heard the weather for today. Yes I have. What is there to say. Let's talk about the joy, the fear and the pain cause I ain't got the time for Small Talk today." The songs are so well written and the beat of the drums makes me tap my feet and nod my head in an up/down motion. The cover of the classic Cars song is spectacular...I thought it was the Cars themselves performing. I hope these guys will come out with another CD in the future.

I am very impressed with the songs released on Small Talk. It's one of the few CD's that I have that I can put in and listen from start to finish and not want to skip over tracks because they're junk and filler music. There's a nice variety of tracks & song tempo. This whole CD is EXCELLENT and I'm looking forward to the next release from Narc!

From the first killer guitar lick of "Friends are Enemies" to the final note of the killer Cars cover, this album has a great flow. Songs are well orchestrated and kept me wanting to hear more. "Small Talk" is definitely my fav!!! "Shimmy Song" is great heavy guitar work with fun lyrical content,"they make beautiful drag queens". Production is great, especially for a first album...sounds like seasoned veterans!
