notes
Single tracks (as well as full album) are available through digital distributors such as iTunes.
Is Danny Birt REALLY narcoleptic? Medically, definitely not. The inspiration for the title is found in the music's sleep-inducing qualities.
Though originally intended for insomniacs, this album has found an audience among a much broader population. The harmonic strains are mostly minimalist in genre so as to relax, rather than distract, the conscious mind. This can occur to the extent that many listeners have reported falling asleep - see reviews below for examples. (Do you know anyone who needs sleep?) The music comes from inspirations in real life as well as literary sources such as CS Lewis's "Narnia" to William Blake's "Tyger."
A suggestion on how to listen to the CD: Let it play in the background of a restful environment a couple times before trying to use it as a relaxation/sleep aid to enhance your ability to entrain. Find a time and place in which you can listen in solitude, start the CD, and let it run all the way through. If you are already totally relaxed, start the CD at track #3, "Solstice." There will be certain sections that you will connect with more than others, as is to be expected with any form of music, but this album has been designed in a certain rhythmic and melodic model that can be experienced only as a whole.
Danny Birt is a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), a photographer, and aspiring author, to name a few occupations.

Very well done.....
author: EvilDingDongWhile I have not used the CD as a sleep aid as outlined in the liner notes, I have enjoyed it immensely. If you like relaxing piano music, this is an artist worth exploring. Narcoleptic Pianist is perfect background music for relaxing, dinner, or studying. What I like best about this album is how it drifts back and forth in shifting tempo while never straying from it's purpose of relaxation.
you are getting very sleepy...
author: amca sensual, beautiful, passionate symphony, echoing the slow, open hours of early morning when the world is sleeping, but you're awake. cd gives me the "ok" to get it go and brings me to the edge of sleep.
Music to the ears of a weary soul
author: Sarah DowlingThis cd is an incredible journey of music that soothes the mind while tugging at the heart strings. The music triggers fond memories of playing in the grass and climbing trees, of the wind gently blowing through the leaves, and the feeling of line dried bed sheets in the summer. The amazing melodies build together in a seamless piece of artistic masterpiece. This music has made it possible for me to sleep again with the thoughts of happy times dancing in my head like sugar plums. This is a must have on the shelves of any serious music collector.

Computer Games
author: AngelicaI LOVE this CD. My aunt stole it from me and now she won't let anyone play on her computer games without listening to it at the same time. Needless to say, I visit her often. Danny you did a great job.
