About Jay Nash

I was first introduced to the Native American Flute in the fall of 2001 by John Dumas during a visit to Sedona, Arizona. My heart and soul were captivated by the free sounding and soothing melodies that flowed from this ancient instrument. Within a year, I returned to Sedona with the desire to share the love of this instrument with others. Shortly after my return from Sedona I underwent neck surgery to repair a work related injury.

During my recovery I discovered that I had sustained a trauma to my spinal cord that resulted in the loss of feeling and movement from my chest down. Within 6 months I had regained the ability to walk. Since that life changing operation in November of 2002, I have worked diligently to retrain my hands so that I could return to my hearts desire of sharing the beautiful sound and healing power of the Native American Flute. I have still not regained the sensory perception in my hands but I have returned to my love of making and playing the Native American Flute. This experience has taught me the importance of living life one day at a time.

REVIEWS

Every song tells a story
author: Tami Greenlee
It’s obvious that every note of every song comes straight from Jay’s heart and it’s impossible to listen and not feel his joy and pain. The story behind each song is included in the CD and makes each one even more meaningful. It’s an honor to be allowed a glimpse of this very personal journey of recovery and hope that reinforces the belief that nothing is impossible when you open your heart and mind.

WOW!
author: Dennis Wiggins
Jay Nash is the best Native American flute player you have never heard of!! The songs on this CD are all so good that I don't have a favorite!! I have over two hundred Native American flute music CD's in my collection, but this is one that I listen to almost each and every day! Jay's music reminds me so much of Burning Sky's music. Do yourself a favor and buy this CD; I think that there is NO way you would regret it. I cant't wait for Jay's second CD!!!
