REVIEWS

Insightful songwriting, creative arrangements, top quality and what a sensitive
author: John Cerecedes
I purchased two of your CD's, but I have found myself going back to 30 miles over and over. I love the words, stories and arrangements. My taste in music is varied, however jazz influenced and a more understated and subtle style is something I can listen to and enjoy 90% of the time. Your CD is well crafted with excellent musicianship and your voice is soothing, moving and very pleasant. I have listened to this CD at least once a day since I got it. Keep up the great work.

A delightful musical journey
author: Laurent
The beauty of this album lies in the arrangements. The melodies are really lovely and sound "simple" but a closer listening opens doors to tremendous muscial subtleties. The arrangements are fantastic and there a lots of little sounds/ideas/details that really enhance the songs and make them richer/fuller. Natali Rene's delighful voice is in a slightly higher register than on her debut album and a little bit more "controlled". For those having her first record, I'd say that her vocals were perhaps a bit more free on "Aloha" and gave more room to her latin roots. The songwriting is really good and this album should appeal to fans of vocal contemporary jazz or R&B. My personal favourite are the latin influenced songs of which the superb "Mujer Sin Verguenza". Don Grusin's emotional touch and beautiful playing is an asset and he really shines thoughout. My only "regret" is that there is a lot of programming. The drums notably gives a bit of a "cold touch" to an otherwise very warm CDs. Overall this is a winner ! A delightful musical journey. Buy it !
