Album Notes

Called ..."an Austin Musical Icon" by the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Natalie Zoe has covered many musical genres: from acoustic singer-songwriter to electric-guitar-slinging rocker to jazz singer to gospel blues belter. She's even had a turn at country, singing background vocals with David Allan Coe and the Lost Gonzo Band, as well as singing back up for the venerable Don Henley and Austin powerhouse Malford Milligan ( formerly of Storyville). She has opened for such artists as Warren Zevon, Muddy Waters, Lucinda Williams, Storyville, Eric Johnson, Carole King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Ian Moore, and also won several Austin Chronicle music awards including "Best Solo Performer" (1977) & "Best tape"(1993). A recent rave review by Ben Fong-Torres (formerly of Rolling Stone) called Zoe's single "Feels Like Home" ( a duet with Milligan) "killer" and "gorgeous", comparing her voice to Norah Jones. "Seven Chords and The Truth" is her brand new collection of original songs, embracing all her beloved genres.
