notes

Nate usually spends his time backing up other artists, (usually playing drums) but this time he decided to try something different. Written, played and produced entirely by Nate, this album embodies many different syles outside the pop/rock genre.

You haven't seen anything until you've seen Nate play six-string bass and drums AT THE SAME TIME! Hope to see you and Richard Stekol at the Marine Room in Laguna Beach soon.

  • Nate's 1st ....
    author: toddius maximus

I had the honor of working with this gent & Kneebody(his nu-jazz group) back in 2004... & this album still is melodically & rhythmically dynamic and reins among his finest works to date... An underground genius.

  • Fans of Jason Falkner & Eric Matthews will LOVE this disc
    author: Rich Miller

I have yet to purchase a copy of this disc, but I keep listening to Nate's samples through the CD Baby site and these tracks are addictive. Nate's voice reminds me of Jason Falkner (ex-Jellyfish/The Grays) and his music reminds me of the music that Jason Falkner made with Eric Matthews. This is intelligent, heartfelt, mature pop music and Nate's arrangements are awesome. I plan on buying a copy of this disc very soon and encourage fans of J. Falkner and Mr. Matthews to do the same.

  • Super Hot!
    author: Scott Farr Jazz Farm

Super hot songwriting from a mega-talented musician. Technique, chords, basslines, drum grooves, make no difference if it doesn't raise the hair on your arms or get your "panties" in a bunch! and dammit! Track 3, "Little," gets my panties in a bunch! pick it up yo!

  • Inspiring to a fellow songwriter!

I listened to the music available on this page and was granted a sigh of relief. We are not a dying breed!!! Good job Nate, keep plugging at it and stay true to YOUR art.

  • Wonderful CD!
    author: Katie

It took a while to get used to the cross influence of jazz, pop, oldies and a dash of his own ingenuity within the music, but it is because Nate has managed to avoid all the trappings of the typical radio songs that I love his CD so much. It makes me think in a world where it is way too easy to just slip comfortably into the muzak of tomorrow. The songs are personal, powerful, thought provoking and combined with rhythms that caught me off guard..I will have to say that I am incredibly glad that Nate put this CD together.
