When listening to Nathaniel one hears a great mix of modern and traditional music. Nathaniel Maloney is a great wordsmith and he will take you to venues that are new and wonderful!"
Tom Ball - Just Plain Folk 91.3FM The Summit (Oct 8, 2005)
Like a warm summer day, or a star filled sky, Nathaniel Maloney writes honestly, choosing his words spiritedly. Poetry and his passion for playing guitar rise like the sun from this singer-songwriter's heart. Growing up in the rural township of Burton, Ohio, he found inspiration in nature and all of his life's journey's. Above all Nathaniel's voice natural, and altogether his own can fill a room with no trace of device, but pure truthfulness. With his self titled debut, Nathaniel Maloney (released in 2003), one fan writes Nathaniel Maloney tells tales in his music that seem far too troublesome for someone his age to go through. Yet with the mysticism and maturity of his voice, he pulls it off like one of the great acoustic legends. His lyrics hold a spirit that soul searches and seems to beg listeners for forgiveness. He wears his heart on his guitar strings and his mind in the beauty of his voice.

You can tell he writes from the heart. You can feel the state he was in when making this CD. I have it say it's just amazing. I've always loved the simplicity of an acoustic guitar and vocals.

Amazing Debut
author: Grant
While I don't usually go to the folk section of music stores, I happened to come in contact with this Cd. If I were only allowed to say one sentence about this Recording, it would be this, "Keeps you coming back for more." While the overriding feel of album is heartache, you come away feeling free and happy after listening to the entire recording. A must have for any collection.
