Postcard is the most recent collection of songs by Nathan Phillips. It is pressed on 200 12" records and is also available digitally. The vinyl edition contains one individual postcard on each album cover with a hand carved and hand stamped text above. It contains nine new songs, all recorded in Phillips' home between April 08' and February 09'. Whether you listen in headphones or on small speakers (though headphones are highly recommended), it's been said that these songs work well at nighttime when there isn't much noise competing alongside it. In other words, it may not be the kind of record you crank to 80 db in your car stereo, blowing out your new subwoofers or rattling the neighbors furniture.
Nathan has played in different bands and recorded several projects in his hometown of Mansfield, Ohio. This collection of songs is the first to be released under his given name. He'll be taking a bicycle trip this summer, leaving from Chicago, heading out to the western part of Washington state. His sister will handle the ordering of records while he's away. She'll take good care of you.
