Album Notes

LEAP OF FAITH is the 3rd album from NATIVE SON -- a power trio who were based in LONDON, ENGLAND from 1989 to 2007.

NATIVE SON are now based in BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA.

The NATIVE SON project is the brainchild of NEW ZEALAND Guitarist/Vocalist MARK BARRATT.

NATIVE SON released their first album SOLIDGROUND in 1991 followed by NO MANS LAND in 1994.
Native Son also contributed 2 tracks to the Uriah Heep tribute double CD Heepsteria which was released in 2000.

Native Son play a type of modern rock that's based on the classic guitar, bass, drums format which stretches all the way back to the early 1970's.

The sound and songs have a distinctive style that has no obvious influences and features powerful vocals and good musicianship.

Native Son are not a "one trick pony" type of group as the seven songs and one instrumental testify, but have rather a variety that's all too rare in the scene today.

Each of the tracks on Leap Of Faith have an individual "feel" all of their own and the album is clean sounding and not over produced.
