ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It would be easy to compare the vast amount of objects in outer space to the vast amount of genres that the Natthimmel project dabbles in with its debut album, "The Great Beyond". It's also fitting to compare these things because Natthimmel is the Norwegian word for "night sky".

Natthimmel consists of one member by the name of Jason Vincion. He listens to and is influenced by an eclectic mix of music, and it shows. The tracks on the album consist of driving metal assaults in abnormal time signatures, morbid droning pieces with buzzsaw-like guitar distortion, electronic-funk space outs, a couple of tracks which resemble video game music in composition, among other things on this 78 minute CD.

Jason hopes to focus this project some more with subsequent albums, but "The Great Beyond" is a fine starting point for this musician who has set his sights on exploring the musical equivalent of the universe.
