Album Notes

NATTY REMO was raised in the hills of Mandeville Jamaica. His career started out with the sound systems in the area. REMO quickly moved to the stage shows and eventually performed on every major reggae concert in Jamaica: Sunsplash, Sumfest, Sting, White River Reggae Bash and more. He was nominated in 1994 for best new artist. The previous year he won best dj(rapper) in NYC and also most promising. Now the Natty has completed his debut album "BABYLON FALL." The album is long overdue and the response is tremendous. Radio play is literally happening all over the world. The title track, "BABYLON FALL," is a single and a video.

The album has a wide variety of topics and styles. He covers the Beatles' "CAN'T BUY ME LOVE" and adds his own lyrics to the song and actually makes his singing debut on this track. Song like "ROBBERY," "WRONG BABYLON," "NAH TELL THE TRUTH" & "BABYLON FALL" lash out against the current system. NATTY REMO only has love for the common man and his partner as heard in "TRUE TRUE LOVE" and "YOU'RE MY LOVER." His devoyion to Rastafarianism is expressed in "LOVE JAH" & "JAH IS WORHTY." Then his topics and styles vary to showcase his talent. "YOU'RE MY LOVER" is originally done in a dance/pop orientation and then remixed in soca, a style of music from the islands and similar to Calypso. Then there's a hip hop track with label mate WOOKIE J called "YANKEE & YARDEE." This song is also available on WOOKIE J's album "BIG UP THE CHILDREN," but with a different mix. The album ends with 5 dub tracks of songs already on the album. Dub tracks are songs with special effects and the lead vocals dropped out. Enjoy.
