Album Notes

Carolina Music Ways has created the first ever compilation CD of heritage musicians from North Carolina's Yadkin Valley region--one of the most musically-rich regions in the United States. The musicians on this CD are all acclaimed performers in North Carolina, and many receive critical acclaim from around the country. The songs are upbeat, and the variety of music styles--bluegrass, jazz, blues, gospel, old-time & Moravian--makes for a listening experience that one will not tire of. The collection will appeal to anyone who wants a change from plasticized, commercial music and is looking for a more down-to-earth sound. This CD can be enjoyed by older folks who want a whiff of nostalgia, as well as by younger folks who find the sounds of yesteryear hip and interesting. It also offers children a fun way to learn about America's multi cultural music history. Whatever the age, the listener who appreciates quality and variety will enjoy this CD. All proceeds from its sale go to Carolina Music Ways, a nonprofit organization dedicated to American heritage music preservation and education.
