Neal McCarthy and Adam Coluci made this CD quite quickly, with only a handful of recording sessions in an area of New Bedford Massachusetts known as "Sassaquin". All tracks except for the last were recorded in a basement with Adam's new gear. The last track was recorded by Jamison Toomey in Westport MA and finished in Austin TX
The CD's 8 songs are stripped down Americana folk blues folk country blues folk kinda stuff. Got that?? Well.. give a listen, I find it hard to categorize most music, especially my own. The honesty in the music is evident. No bull, stripped, bare, imperfect, etc...
Kenny Richards and Kyle Spark added thier parts after in an almost "one take" sort of fashion. We dig the results.
Video portion: The videos that are on the "enhanced" portion of this disc are clips that were recorded in Boston MA with the electric band. The clips are two high energy performances of the songs; "Policeman Blues" and "Turnin' Back the Years". The electric band in the video is; Neal on electric gtr/vocals, Adam Hanson on drums, Kyle Spark on bass, Marcus Montiero on alto sax.
The video clips can be seen with a computer only and not in a DVD player.
We dig it. Hope you do also. Cheers
