This tradition goes back 40 years, to 1969, when NEC launched the first fully accredited jazz studies program at a music conservatory. In celebrating the 40th anniversary of this creative first, NEC dips into the past, present, and future, with concerts in Boston and New York.
A commemorative CD of great performances from 40 years of Jazz at NEC!
Featuring Gunther Schuller, Ran Blake, Steve Lacy, Bob Brookmeyer, George Russell, Jimmy Giuffre, Carl Atkins, Ken Schaphorst, Jaki Byard, Rakalam Bob Moses, Joe Maneri, George Garzone, Dominique Eade, John Lockwood, and the many talented students of NEC Jazz!
