Album Notes

Ivan and the Necrolytes was originally known as Kill Machine. KM was founded in 1998 with Ivan, Matt, and Guiatarist A (he does have a real name, I just don't know if he wants me to use it). They wrote some songs, but never played any shows. Eventually Guitarist A quit because KM was not MeTaL enough. Then comes Guitarist B (also very elusive). Guitarist B only came to one practice, whereupon he accidentally cut his hand open with a craft knife. He was rushed to the hospital, and still bears the scar of his one and only KM practice. He also played KM's very first show, at the Belvidere HS talent show. Next on guitar was Brendan Robinson.

The horror-rock trio thus formed created a huge wave throughout the local scene. Unfortunately, Brendan's views differed from that of Ivan and Matt, and he was eventually honorably discharged. Enter Jae and April. Long-time fans of KM, they were eager to help out. In the meantime, Ivan and Matt had acquired their impressive, trademark stage show including a fog machine, tombstones, bones, skulls, and a spooky backdrop (courtesy of Al Maximus). Some lucky stars landed them some free time in a studio to record a demo, which then caught the attention of their producer Steve. The rest is history. Or will be.
