Album Notes

Who is the N*I*H? Well, let me tell you Needles in a Haystack (N*I*H) is a group of brothers from the Atlanta Capital Homes Projects consisting of six (6) energetic artist; Stanley (Black-n-Wild) Brown, Jamie (Scrilla) Chapman, Irashad (Shaddy Shaditude) Ferguson, Dax (Infrared) McCaully, Shawn (Deathwish) Williams, Dra (Dirt) Hollaway.

N*I*H originally started back ten (10) years ago by Corey (Tha 'C') Patterson, now CEO of Crazy Loot Records.

They were under the name of ADA (A Different Approach), a name given to them by their manager Mike Weaver/ Ural Hill of Omega Entertainment.

The concept behind the name ADA was targeted to enter the music industry using these tactics "A Different Approach".

The group performed at many functions during their reign as ADA; The Annual Auburn Avenue Street Heat Festival, John Hope Community Festival, Atlanta Talent Search "91", and even Fall Tour 90 which the group travel on a four (4) state tour (Florida, South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama).

But management and lack of financial support forced the group to move on and start their very own label called, 'Simply Dope Records' now under the new name 'Squab Mob'.

Why Squab Mob? "Because at the time that's how we were all living.

We got street time that's why we write street rhymes.

We've done things we speak of," says Scrilla.

Releasing numerous of underground joints and even a low budget video titled, "Five-O on the Go" the Mob continued to roll.

Although, the money was coming in it was not enough to quit doing what they were doing in order to pursue their music career the Mob had decisions to make whether to continue or to call it quits for good.

They didn't call it quits; they continued solo projects and vowed to remain as one.

Does Lighting strike twice? "I don't think so but, in this case yes", says "Tha 'C'".

In 1998, Crazy Loot Records was created to promote, distribute, manage, and produce all types of music for independent artist.

"I told them before I left Atlanta in 96 when I come back be ready to post up.

I had no idea how we were going to do that but you see the Lord works in mysterious ways".

Now signed under Crazy Loot Records/ Last Mile Entertainment the group has resurfaced with a new name, tighter flows, and banging tracks like the hit single, "Crazy Bout That Loot"(CRAZY LOOT RECORDS 2000).

Currently in the studio working on the awaited album release, Needles- "In A Haystack"(CRAZY LOOT RECORDS 2000) this 14- track album will definitely let the industry know what N*I*H is all about.

That song is off the hook. I don't know why y'all callin' that song called "Crazy about the loot" a hit when it's production can't touch the production on "Jail ceil". If Crazy Loot need help deciding what should be a hit or shouldn't.. You could hire me to be a critic along as a producer. Big shout out to whom ever produced that track. And to NIH for their real lyrics. PEACE
