Jesus "Beto" Tataje Cornejo is a peruvian guitarrist with a trayectory that goes back to 1966 when he became a member of two of the most popular Rock groups in Peru, Los Shain's and The Pepper Smelter. After he moved to the USA, he developed nostalgy for his homeland that promted him to learn to play the spanish classical guitar that is used in the creole music of his native land. Also later on, he learned to play the charango and the andean panpipes, instruments typical of the music of the Incas. Now he performs with his friend Neftali Rivera with the group Borikuas playing guitar, both classical and electric and also playing the national instrument of Puerto Rico, el cuatro.

Neftali Rivera
Before settling in Portland, Oregon 15 years ago, Neftali Rivera was a professional musician in his native Puerto Rico. For several years there, he and his groups played popular dance music such as the merengue from the Dominican Republic and traditional music from the Caribbean. Later, he decided to return to his first love, the traditional music of Puerto Rico.
In Portland, Rivera has continued to focus on the traditional music styles which are so immediately familiar to all Puertoriquenos, such as the bombas and plenas heard in communities with African roots to the danzas and aguinaldos heard in Rivera's home town of Morovis.
