Led by guitarist and singer Michael Slawter and guitarist Arthur Gormley the band manages to blend the melodic allure of power pop with the energy of punk, the edge of hard rock and the glee of glitter rock to create music that transcends its inspirations.

The album is fine; the songs, written by Slawter or Gormley, are structurally clever and always have something to say.

But the real delight is that the material sounds even better when the band plays live.
