ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Oh No" is the first studio album recorded by Tucson trio Neil McCallion and The Mighty Maxwells. From the cynical title track 'Oh No" to the slow blues "Old Shoes", the cd takes you through a variety of musical styles well off the beaten path. McCallion's honest lyrics and stinging guitar are at the heart of the album. Gentleman Jack Fanfray's bass lines are solid and to the point. Allan "El voz" Bartlett provides the lead vocal on "Neighborhood" as well as playing tasty drums throughout. Tucson legends Danny Kreiger and Neil Harry also appear on the album. Danny plays lead guitar on "When She Told Me" and Neil Harry plays pedal steel on "When She Told Me", "It Ain't The First Time" and "Pink Stratocaster". Lisa McCallion of "The Last Call Girls", a country band based in Tucson, provides a beautiful 3rd part harmony whenever needed.
