Album Notes

"...how I feel about the whole thing - so real. This music comes from such an honest, beautiful place. Their voices sound beautiful together and the production is great - sparse and lush at the same time. I love how their voices can be soft yet retain their strength. Just beautiful. "

- Natalia Zukerman, Singer Songwriter

Once More... With Feeling is the first studio album by Nervous but Excited, formally known as pleasantly aggressive folk duo Kate Peterson & Sarah Cleaver. Their intention while recording this album was to capture the raw connectedness that is their songwriting, while keeping the light-hearted flare that is their live performance. Recorded mostly in their Lansing, MI home, this album captures the comfort of the space with ease. That sense of home shines throughout the album as it seamlessly transitions through tracks.

As these two ladies take the stage or any living room near you, you won't be able to deny the power of their laughter; combined with their genuinely emotive chords and words. These two women are not afraid to sing loud and sing hard. Their harmonies have been described as the kind that build so smoothly until suddenly they start to shake your insides. The sensitive tug of their voices can pull you through worlds of progressive politics and striking introspection... at the same time, their words will find you seeking connection to your own world.

The duo continues to navigate the endless road of music touring and are impressive in their search to find where their music lies and breathes within all of us. These are not two musicians that are just looking for audiences to play to. They are looking for audiences to sing to. To laugh with. To appreciate. To breathe in and to take home. Their humor has welcomed us all, their melody has held us, and their movement has energized us.

It's a perfect sampling of NbE material - and very well balanced and arranged. The addition of drums to echo is lovely.

Wonderful Awesome better than I expected

I love the CD. It is wonderful. The only thing wrong is that it doesn't have It Was Nice on it. I love that song. I suggest these ladies to all and my sister is very jealous that I have it and she doesn't so that makes it even better.
