-Pt. 1 - Origin
Started in the mind of Tyler Gottschalk, Neuralizer was simply an idea. A band that could play anything from blistering death metal to soft acoustic melodic ballads. Being aggressive in technical playing, progressive rock complexity, yet a straight ahead alternative feel that would appeal to more than just prog musicians. Beginning with the demos that would eventually become the debut EP "Gnosis" Tyler wrote and demoed 6 songs with the intent of a Solo album but upon completion of the 6th song he realized that he was being motivated to prove his songwriting capability to himself and not to showcase the songs as they were originally intended. Tyler knew that to have these songs be more than just personal trophies to sit in his own personal display case that he needed a band.

-Pt. 2 - Fate
After months and months of searching to no avail an arguably meeting of fate took place. Enter Ben Cook. Ben was the guitar player Tyler had been looking for the whole time. Musically Ben and Tyler fit better than either could imagine. With a drive and a passion that they had only seen in themselves beforehand, they began to learn and rework Tyler's songs and began to add Ben's songs to the picture. With a handful of songs in the bank they continued their search for a full band.

-Pt. 3 - Struggle
With a solid core duo Tyler and Ben felt strong about the direction they were going in. Though filling out the rest of the band seemed to be more difficult than expected. Though another piece of the puzzle was found with vocalist Kurt Hanna entering the band. With 3 of the potential 6 member spots filled it seemed as though things were looking up. Around the same time Athanasios Frentzos joined as a keys/synth player, and Chris Marshall, former guitar player of Kurt's previous band, joined as a bass player. All Neuarlizer needed was that final piece in a 2nd guitar player. Tyler's good friend Kevin Malone joined the band and all was finally seeming to fall into place. The band began to re-record Tyler's intial 6 songs at Tyler's home studio, "Bobaguin Studio", for their debut EP. With Tyler working as the Producer and Engineer the band would work all hours of the day and night to get one step closer to their debut to the world. Unfortunately due to the time commitments of school, jobs, etc. and personal issues, shortly after recording had begun both Athanasios and Kevin departed from the band. After another arduous search for members Tyler and Ben decided to move ahead with recording writing and recording all guitar parts themselves. Tyler had also come to the decision to replace the synth player with a machine. A Roland Spd-S sampler and Tyler's hidden 3rd arm became that elusive synth player. While midway through the recording tragedy struck again when Chris was forced to move out of state. With bass parts still needed for 3 songs Ben and Tyler once again took matters into their own hands by recording the final bass parts themselves. And once again there were 3.

-Pt. 4 - Album completion and another eerie meeting of Chance
Still plugging ahead, Neuralizer continued to record vocals and put the final touches on their album. While still no luck filling the bass and 2nd guitar spots the thought of playing shows upon the album's completion was looking bleak. That is until Tyler uttered one line to a friend, "We need a new bass player" Believing that he'd get no response, Tyler was ecstatic when his friend instantly suggests a close friend was a bass player. Not wanting to get his hopes up Tyler contacted the potential bass player not knowing what to expect, only to find through a slew of text messages that this guy seemed like he just might work. Sherdell "Deli" Burton auditioned soon after. It was clear after jamming just one song that Neuralizer had found their bass player. With the album completed now the band felt the need to play shows with or without a 2nd guitarist.

-Pt 5 - Breaking from the Chrysalis
Having played a handful of shows with guitarist Bennett Wellendorf on 2nd guitar the band was dropped with a bomb that Kurt would have to relinquish his duties as the band's frontman. Being a mutual split and just Kurt being the kind of guy he is, Kurt will still be playing all upcoming shows until his replacement is found. During this period of searching for members, Tyler, Ben, and Deli decided to start the search for a full time 2nd guitarist as well. Mike Brummer entered the picture very quick and established himself as the 2nd lead guitarist Neuralizer has been looking for. Complimenting Ben's guitar playing like they were meant to play together from birth. Now on the lookout for that 5th and final member to complete the lineup, Neuralizer will be playing shows and writing their first full length album to showcase the entire band a working unit.

Lyrics -

-Preying on the Caring-
I lend a helping hand but you want more
I reach within my heart to believe your story
But now I just wonder was I stupid or faithful?
Was I thoughtless or thoughtful?
I was trusting and you just kept lying
Not, One, Word
That, You, Said
Was, The, Truth
Fuck, You!
Not a word of truth said before my eyes
I was afraid of, this
You are the reason I have trouble trusting someone else
I hope you feel good I hope you are so proud
I’m throwing, up all your lies
that you, fed to me
You have no soul, at least now you have money
I’m furious
I feel like I’m going to snap
Your honor fades
As the days pass
I’m so sorry
your life has come to this
I cry for you cause no matter what you do to me
At the end of the day I’m still happy
I cry for you cause no matter what you do to me
At the end of the day your laughter…
Fades!
Away!
Fades!
Away!

-Faded Memories-
Smoke and mirrors Slight of hand
Will always overpower the weak mind
Fighting the Binding power
You will lose control
You will lose your soul
Do you even know who you are?
Or who you want to be?
Take off of the blindfold!
Take back control!
Take off the Blindfold!
Take back your soul!
And now you finally can see
The world as you want it to be
No longer will you see your dreams
As only faded memories
Tragedy in society, overshadows your worthless life
The lie, you contrived, to hide inside, your mind
Afraid to go outside, to live and to die
Or to realize the knife in hand is wet not dry
Put down the knife!
Open your eyes!
Put down the knife!
And live your life!
And now you finally can see
The world as you want it to be
No longer will you see your dreams
As only faded memories

-Tzadik-
I Pray as though he listens
But act as though he doesn’t exist
I believe that when he punches
He uses my own fist
There’s a rhythm and a rhyme
That I tune in to at times
There’s an ease and a flow
Suggesting that it is meant to be so
But why do all these eyes gaze as if they all know
That I’ll die alone?
As water spills from a glass at the diner
Let this remind me of life It fell to remind me
For we all will be spilled
In his foul smelling clothing he sits
At the counter glaring with his red eyes
The makings of a prophet
one may surmise
For only a holy man
Wears such a wretched disguise
There’s an ease and a flow
Suggesting that it is meant to be so
But why do all these eyes gaze as if they all know
That I’ll die alone?
As water spills from a glass at the diner
Let this remind me of death It fell to remind me
For we all will spill
JUMPING ON THE COUNTER HE PROCLAIMED!
The holy breath has anointed me
To make the blind see
And the captives free
I’m fighting for Zion with my own fists
And I declare today a day of vengeance

-Ghost Roads-
These silent roads speak to me
On these long drives
They tell me where to go
Or at least they try
These lines covered in blood and lies
Can’t confine my eyes
For I see the light over the horizon
I won’t take the path so many have been given
Roads only take you to places people have already driven
Now I’ll step out of line and march through the snow
Where my footprints are the first to show
Crossing only bridges I have made
I am not afraid
These tree covered hills speak to me
On this never ending quest
The cool winter breeze knows no rest
As it slowly tries to freeze my chest
But I will not win
I’ll walk against the wind
I won’t take the path so many have been given
Roads only take you to places people have already driven
Now I’ll step out of line and march through the snow
Where my footprints are the first to show
Crossing only bridges I have made
I am not afraid
I won’t take the path so many have been given
Roads only take you to places people have already driven
Now I’ll step out of line and march through the snow
Where my footprints are the first to show
Crossing only bridges I have made
Now it’s your turn to be brave

-Rogue-
You didn't know, but eons ago
Your future was set in stone
Never got to be free, though how free are the sheep?
Your other worldly ancestry, knew what was the key
To being alive, how to survive, to live like a hive
Out of the sky, they flew one night
It's time for you to know the truth
About your enslavement and your species youth
Am I trapped inside a dream?
Or refusing to believe?
Does my mind deceive
My eyes so easily?
Or am I blinded by beliefs?
Conspire against the liar
Against everything he thought
The desire to reach higher
To know more than we're taught
Unity in blasphemy, the sacred words were fake
Killing thee for bigotry, run before your life's erased
They're hunting you, because you know the truth
Your beliefs are untrue
Your world is a puppet for us to use
Am I trapped inside a dream?
Or refusing to believe?
Does my mind deceive
My eyes so easily?
Or am I blinded by beliefs?
Am I trapped inside a dream?
Or refusing to believe?
Does my mind deceive
My eyes so easily?
Or am I blinded by beliefs?
