Hailing from one of California's hotbeds, Los Angeles County, Neurotoxin is a 4-piece of young er guys pavig their way through the Metal scene with this more than exciting 7-track CD that marks their debut. What's weird is somehow they've captured that Brazilian sound like Korzus, Mutilator or Taurus but play in the foreshadow of gods like Forbidden, Heathen, Onslaught with older Megadeth and Metallica with a touch of Hardcore (old ST or D.R.I.) and German style elements of Midas Touch, D.A.M., Vendetta and Assassin. Truly an array of influences and styles but the songwriting is sold with tempo shifts and searing guitarwork, enough to wet the mouths of all metalheads and the elite purveyors that collect prime Grade A Thrash. This is probably one of the best Thrash cd's I've gotten in recent years that somehow captures the attention without being the redundant resurgence of the 80's since Neurotoxin does enough on their own to gap themselves from being a mimic or just-your-typical-band. These guys are of many bringing back true Metal on a comeback victory crusade. -Quintessence Metal Webzine

I put this CD into my player totally unprejudiced and immediately became speechless.Pure tribute to the 80's thundering off the speakers I didn't expect when looking at the promotion photos included. These four guys could be my own sons but a closer look at their T-Shirts reveals their musical tendencies, namely DEATH and SLAYER !! And this is exactly the root position of their riff-orientated US-Power Metal with a thrashy edge.It reminds me of old SLAYER all the time.John Hernandez'vocals fit the music perfectly as well.Great to see that the young generation remembers the good old virtues.Anyway,a newcomer band that manages to convince me totally. So don't hesitate and order this well-produced and cheap CD via the band's website.
