Album Notes
Nevergone is a clever composer, passionate musician, and ardent music fan as well as an observer of people and devotee of landscape and architecture. Based in Portland, Oregon, Nevergone looks at life through the lens of percussion. With a love for soundscapes - from the modern to the classical - Nevergone creates compositions for percussion that provide a symphonic atmosphere for the listener. Though completely acoustic in structure, Nevergone's songs are inspired by the electronic/acoustic output of artists like Muse, Bjork, Roisin Murphy, and Moby, as well as the naturally occurring sounds in forests, streams, like those captured by Jarvis Cocker on “National Trust: The Album.” Nevergone says, "Music must be felt, not just heard. For me, drums are the method."

"Symphony of Percussion" contains three original tracks: "(For) Freedom - Part One: Path to the Battle", "(For) Freedom - Part Two: Stay and Fight, Live and Die", as well as the meditative composition called "Peace." "Path to the Battle" places the listener within a soundscape of anticipation, plodding through woods to the battle field. "Stay and Fight, Live and Die" is the sudden clash and heavy hand-to-hand combat between opposing warrior armies. There are various remixes of "(For) Freedom". Some of the alternate mixes contain warrior chants and cries while others are instrumental in nature. The "(Verb Only)" versions provide unique, hall-type sound effects that would be great samples for creative projects. "Peace" transports the listener to a quiet forest with trickling streams to create an atmosphere of rest.

All tracks are available for use in soundtracks, meditation or prayer compilations, DJ sampling, or other licensing applications.
