ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In a world of complacency and repetition, a new sound has emerged. With remnants of older influences and an array of modern musical assault, Nevr Deadr Society pierces the ears of all ages. The barriers of creativity have been demolished by their pioneering “psykoticore” sound. Such styles as hardcore, hip-hop, funk, alternative, and metal can be found throughout their songs. They have contradicted the norm for a commercial artist. However, in their own unique way, firmly stand out in the entertainment industry.
Hailing from Central New Jersey, the Society take musical aggression and attitude to a whole new level. From the moment your eyes or ears catch hold of them, you will be locked in. On stage, they have enough energy to wake the dead! Respect has not been given to this band because they have conformed to a dying scene. On the contrary, NDS has rebelled against it by focusing on their individualism.
In 2000, Front man and singer, Mario envisioned the idea of creating a style of music with no boundaries and endless possibilities- a style in which not only the band but also the fans could release all of their emotions through the music. Driven by his undying passion for music and a desire to shed light in the darkest and most grim corners of the Earth, Mario conceived the name Nevr Deadr Society; a name that stands for and reminds every member in the Society what this cause is forever about. Before one can love another, one must love his/herself. Next, one must die to his/her own faults and failures. Finally, one must die to his/her own selfishness. When one cannot be anymore dead or “nevr deadr” to such things, he or she can fully love and be used to do greater things for others.
This was obviously no easy task for Mario to accomplish by himself. After much planning, he soon came into contact with an old high school buddy of his, AROCK. He quickly joined the cause as the Society’s irreplaceable drummer in 2001. After a couple of years of practicing and planning, NDS starting playing out with temporary members on the strings. Despite, they had an incredible reception from the scene. In 2003, NDS self-released their first EP, Rise of the Dragons. They had such hits as “Thermoregulation” and “Rise of the Dragons,” which were played on some major radio stations in NJ and NY (WDHA, Rat Radio, WSOU Pirate Radio). They also performed at such venues as Birch Hill, Stone Pony, The Fast Lane, Hamilton Street Café, Bloomfield Ave Café, The Cup Complex, Dingbatz, Pourman’s Pub, Bound Brook Hotel, and many Elks, firehouses, VFW halls, etc.
It became time for the duo to lock down on permanent members in the strings category. Through his college, ARock came into contact with BURNT, a bassist who is in a league of his own- a true pop/slap/funk bass master. Shortly after, the three were blessed with the opportunity of meeting JOE, an accomplished guitarist who meshed right into the music. His style encompasses funk, metal, blues and jazz. When he solos out on guitar, the strings pierce deep into the emotions of the listener. Together, these brothers in arms have united to execute a style that is out in left field, yet right on the frontlines of the market. Every time they take the stage, it is quite obvious of the love and unity that is embellished in their music and for each other.
If you want a bold, fearless, creative, energetic, loud, and different sound-your only option is Nevr Deadr Society! NDS has evolved and stood the test of time. Though the scene may change, their sound will remain the same. Even with that, one will still be guessing at what they will do or play next! In a world of “simple sells,” NDS thrives on “Catchy Complexity!” Tired of seeing the same old bands doing the same old things? Be not wearied! You have found an escape in Nevr Deadr Society! Embrace yourself, because ready or not-here they come!

Different and Groove Oriented!
This cd is definitely different than what's out there! Didn't expect that when i bought it. Each song has great rhythms and strong grooves. Inportantly, each song is different from the next-don't see that much anymore. The musicians show off their talents very well and the singer executes each of his different styles nicely and with ease. Freezing Flames has one of the hottest grooves i've heard in a while! Very impressive as a whole. i recommend it:)

Songs are balanced and very catchy
The songs on this cd are all very catchy. I find a different song stuck in my head every time I listen to it. The songs are a mixture of hard and not-so-hard striking a good balance. I usually like really hard stuff but I can rock out to every song on this cd.
