In a world of music filled with cliches and formulas where it is hard to tell one artist and/or one genre from the next, it is truly refreshing to find an artist who is confortable enough to be themselves. Calming and edgy all at the same time with honest lyrics and no gimmics, here is an artist who deserves some serious recognition and someone who should someday be recognized for her talent and honesty. The whole ensemble sounds tight and polished but not plastic. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more.

By turns witty and moody, Newland has originality and a clear, unabashed presence.

Describing this CD seems like I'm describing a person. It is playful, insightful, reflective, and inquisitive. Yet, the whole package blends together so wonderfully. Added to the talented song writing is a voice that simply grabs hold and envelops you. Toss this CD in your stereo, give it some volume, and you'll be impressed.
