New Oceans is the solo project of singer, songwriter, and producer David Downs. The songs are written from his life experiences involving the different people who have influenced him growing up. The songs are personal and revealing with a centralized theme of escaping the world you live in and finding solace in your own safe place. The music traverses many different styles from rock n' roll, to electronic, to alternative and is perfectly meshed together in A Safe Place.
