Album Notes

New Roanoke Jug Band is a four piece outfit hailing from the Star City, Roanoke, Virginia. This band puts their energy into the SONGS. Primitive vocal harmonies are backed by differing combinations of instruments including: washboard, jug, guitar, banjo, upright bass, harmonica, kazoo and more. The boys in the NRJB don't seek to recreate the records of their heroes, nor do they modernize the material. They play as if it was 80 years ago, using the sounds of American Roots Music to convey their huge repertoire of songs.
